⬆️ Here is a selection of anonymous comments that I have received in student evaluations ⬆️
I find teaching deeply rewarding because I enjoy the practice of breaking down dense and technical material until it's totally accessible. I have won teaching prizes at LSE (2019) and at UC Berkeley (2023) and, in the last two years, I have been involved with pedagogy training at UC Berkeley. I was selected by the Graduate Student Instructor Teaching & Resource Center to lead a campus-wide ‘Quantitative Social Sciences’ pedagogy workshop for first-time instructors and, during the semester, I have helped run the Economics Department's Pedagogy Workshop. In the latter role, I have observed classes taught by dozens of first-time instructors and provided them with feedback and guidance.
